Franz Beck

Biography*A relative of unknown degree is Anton Beck. According to Franz's descendants as well as Anton's descendants, he could possibly have been an uncle or a cousin of Anton, because one of Franz's grandchildren, Joe Kloesel, and Anton's sons, Emil and John, were always known as being cousins as well as the best of friends. Franz Beck and his wife, Theresia, lived only a short distance from Anton Beck and family in 1880. No record of Franz' death was found, but his wife, Theresia was born October 3, 1816 and died April 8, 1897, and is buried in the Matthias Kloesel family plot in St. Michael's Cemetery in Weimar.

Biography*Joe Kloesel, the son of Matthias and Theresia Beck Kloesel was born in Fayette County on August 1, 1879. He was married to Marie Schenk on November 20, 1899 in Weimar by Reverend C J Benes. Joe and Marie moved to Victoria sometime after their marriage and later moved to Beeville. They often came to Woodsboro to visit their relatives, and never failed to visit his cousin and friend, Emil Beck. Joe died at the age of 88 on June 14, 1967, two weeks after his wife died on May 29, 1967.
