Note*The Kloesels left the port of Bremen on March 16, 1867 and arrived at Galveston on May 13, 1867. They came with four children, Mary, Frank, John and one who died on the voyage and was buried at sea. On the same ship, the Iris, cam Matthias Kloesel (John's Brother), John Kasper, Julian Kasper, and Ferdinand Kasper. After their arrival the John Kloesels farmed in the High Hill area for a number of years before they moved to the Sedan/Dubina area in 1876 where they bought a farm. Rosina Beck Kloesel was born April 18, 1835 in Pohl, Mahren, Austria. She was the Sister of Anton Beck Sr. In 1888 the Kloesels sold their farm to their son Frank. In 1900 they lived with their son, Ludwig and family. Rosina died on Friday, August 18, 1911 at the home of her son, Frank. She is buried in the Dubina Cemetery. John Kloesel was born in Austria, June 21, 1829. He applied for US Citizenship in 1887. He died November 7, 1901 and is buried in the Dubina Cemetery.
