| Biography* | Obituaries for Sunday, Jan. 22 Joyce McAnally Ruth Services for Joyce McAnally Ruth, 70, of Jacksonville will be at 10 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2006, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville, with Bro. Jim Shine officiating. Burial will be at Tecula Cemetery. Joyce went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 20, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 27, 1935, in Cherokee County to the late Edna and Robartus Columbus McAnally. She was an active member of Enterprise Baptist Church. She devoted her life to serving God and her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband James R. Ruth and two sons Bryan Russell and baby John Ruth. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law James M. and Kristi Ruth, both of Jacksonville, daughters and son-in-law Rosalind and Nick Maestas and Rhonda Gomez all of Jacksonville, sister Edith Harper of Jacksonville, brothers Stuart McAnally, Monroe McAnally and Oscar McAnally all of Jacksonville, grandchildren, Dustin Little, Crystal and Joe Shields, Elizabeth Gomez, Derrik Maestas, Shanna and Cris Banks, Isabella and Issiah Ruth, great grandchildren Bryan and Daisy Little, Alexis and Keaton Banks and Blake and Faith Shields. Pallbearers include Darryll McAnally, Nick McAnally, Shaun McAnally, J.D. Meador, Kyle Smith, Tim Lackey, Lonnie Jimerson and Gary McAnally. Visitation is Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at the funeral home.
